Dialogue with Students: Rethinking our Food and Farming Systems in the COVID19 and Post-COVID19 Era.
June 30, 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to fore the importance of healthy, inclusive and sustain-able food systems. While many businesses are shut down and commercial processes including the distribution of genetically modified seeds to farmers are restricted, smallholder farmers have to keep up with the production and marketing of healthy food for the population in spite of the challenges they face. On June 30, we will be hosting a Dialogue with Students which will examine our food and farming systems realities in the COVID19 and post-COVID19 era and instigate ideas/action for an effective and sustain-able way forward. Some of the speakers are Million Belay (Ethiopia) and Linzi Lewis (South Africa).
