2nd Annual Niger Delta Alternatives Convergence

NDAC 2023 promises to be decisive and engaging. In the inaugural edition, the Niger Delta Manifesto for Socio-Ecological Justice was drafted and consolidated. In this edition, we intend to further reposition the “Niger Delta issue” as a critical national policy question.
The 2nd Edition of the Niger Delta Alternatives Convergence (NDAC) will capitalize on the opportunities presented by the outcome of the 2023 general elections and the policy reform environment created by every change in administration to drive the Niger Delta agenda into popular policy conversations.
The Convergence will bring communities, civil society, development actors and government to the table in a peoples-driven engagement to discuss these key areas:
- Environmental pollution
- Niger Delta environmental assessment and clean up
- PIA
- Oil company divestment
- Emerging climate change impacts in the Niger Delta
- Health audit of the Niger Delta region.
