School of Ecology / International Convergence (Fresh water + Marine Protected areas (MPA))

The School of Ecology (SoE) is a part of HOMEF’s IKIKE, a knowledge space for the interrogation of concepts, policies and actions on various issues, ranging from environmental/climate justice, agriculture, re-source governance and overall socio-ecological transformation. Ikike anchors on our reasoning power, our intellect and our rights.
This SoE session will review threats to the marine ecosystem and examine ways of monitoring and supporting marine and freshwater systems. It will also focus on the place of Marine Protected Areas in our country and region.
