We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team and support our efforts in creating a positive, productive work environment.

Role Overview:

As the Human Resource Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of human resources within the organization. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with applicable labour laws and regulations. The HR Manager will play a key role in supporting the organization’s overall mission by ensuring that our staff are engaged, motivated, and equipped to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, and fostering a positive organizational culture.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices and in line with the organization’s employee handbook.
  • Lead the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding new employees.
  • Oversee performance management systems, including regular performance appraisals, feedback processes, and professional development opportunities.
  • Design and manage staff training programs to enhance employee skills and organizational effectiveness.
  • Handle compensation and benefits administration, including payroll coordination and benefits packages.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and organizational policies.
  • Support the creation of a diverse, inclusive, and respectful work environment.
  • Advise management on human resource best practices and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resource management, preferably within the NGO sector.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and employee relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage teams effectively.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a multicultural and diverse environment.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
